As an accredited intrauterine device (IUD) inserter, I provide safe, evidence-based, and patient-centred care. The hormonal IUD offers a highly effective, cost-efficient, long-term, and reversible form of contraception. It also protects the endometrium in women using hormone therapy during perimenopause and menopause. In addition, the hormonal IUD can significantly reduce heavy menstrual bleeding, making it a valuable option for both contraceptive and hormonal management.
